This is the first day of 8th grade for my sweet daughter. She is in a new school this year and so that makes this day a little more stressful. I am so proud of her and the choices she is making in her life.
Her locker is already set up and has all her new books in it. Her schedule is taped to her locker. Her athletic bag is full of volleyball equipment and practice clothes. Her leopard messenger bag contains her lunch and the 2 reports that she wrote during the summer. She's ready to be tested on the summer reading.
Heavenly Father, there are not enough words to express how much I love this child you have blessed me with. Thank you for this precious gift. I pray that you keep her safe and out of harm's way. I pray that she feels your love during her day. I pray that you give her wisdom, confidence and courage and I pray that she is happy at her new school and finds good and true friends. Amen.
